One of camp’s longest-standing traditions takes place after lunch—mail call. But! It’s not just about delivering letters and goodies. Any camper receiving 5 letters (postcards) during one roll call or a package is honor bound to walk themselves down to the waterfront with the lifeguards, climb the high dive ladder, and jump in the lake fully clothed.
Also, this coveted tradition is becoming tricky to manage…some packages are being brought to camp at check-in and left in the office, which quickly takes up what very little free space is available. We strongly encourage packages to be mailed USPS, UPS, FEDEX, Amazon, etc., especially as it creates a bit more of a surprise element for the camper (and frees up our small office space).
